Fast Generation of Sound Zones Using Variable Span Trade-Off Filters in the DFT-Domain

The creation of sound zones with frequency-domain variable span trade-off filters (VAST) is investigated herein. Both narrowband and broadband discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-domain VAST approaches are proposed, we discuss their relationship to the existing time-domain approach. core idea in apply a generalized eigenvalue decomposition spatial statistics control between acoustic contrast signal distortion. Moreover, method for determining optimal Lagrange multiplier that controls this also considered terms physical, meaningful parameters. Through analysis experiments, performance comparison using measured room impulse responses conducted not only two proposed methods but results confirm approach able transfer from one frequency bin another, which case Furthermore, show DFT-domain can be special
